2012 updateWell its been a very busy time since March.
Painted 6 Grandfather clocks for the La Grange outdoor art exhibit. Looking forward to the auction in September.. Received 12 x 9ft patio umbrellas for this years Goombay Bash @ Navy Pier on Aug 11th. *My neighbor Britany Thornton has been a godsend this year..we have knocked everything out in record time. I have one of last years rocking chairs to redo, but still patiently trying to get the sticky images OFF it, (which they would follow the rules). Planning on a tuscany/wine theme for this chair. Ive been NON STOP and very much looking forward to my 1st mini vacation to ATL at the end of the month followed by a week off work....I think Ive earned it. Stay tuned for more coming later.

"Produced the winning design on day one! The Great Scot took my design brief and created this winning logo on her first try! And not only did she locate my "desired" font at the midnight hour, she made sure that I had the high definition files before my deadline with my manufacturer the next morning! La Grange Rocks outdoor art exhibit has had a total of 6 chairs that I painted throughtout the town. The auction for my 6 and the other 45+ artistic rocking chairs go under the hammer FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th outside Village Hall. The Hot Dog Company in La Grange commissioned me to paint 12 canvases for the business with food related themes, 4 of the canvases were seen on TVs, 190 North. The H Foundations GOOMBAY BASH will have a total of 8 9ft garden patio umbrellas around the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier, Chicago on SATURDAY, AUGUST 6TH. All umbrellas and 100's of other wonderful items will be up for auction that night with all proceeds going to The H Foundation and to FIND A CURE FOR CANCER. Also won a few more logo contests. Consign and REdesign commisioned me to 'update' a few pieces for them, a table and an 80s pc of art. Bringing new life into old furniture. Another client is commissioning me to paint a rocking chair for a 50th birthday gift in a Grateful Dead theme...stay tuned for updates on this piece. As I mentioned... a VERY busy time..... hope winter keeps me just as busy. This year (2011) visit dowtown LG to see an assortment of painted rocking chairs to suit everyones taste.
La Grange Rocks starts off June 4th with the Pet Parade and carnival. I would like to thank 4 new clients this year and Ryan from Horizon Wealth Management, for allowing me to get creative with their chairs. All 5 of my entries this year are all very unique and different to years past. Tropical illusion/abstract floral/faux leather/organic floral and my late entry (as always)... something more fun...stay tuned or wait till after the 4th to come see if you can find it.. clue - Kids and Indy fans will get a kick outta this one ;) ([email protected]) Thu, 26 May 2011 09:31:52
